2 Timothy 3:16-17

The word says that pride comes before a fall. It's funny how someone as insecure as I am can still be tempted by pride. In some ways I feel I will never measure up to all you wonderful people out there. Then comes along a compliment or even an interest in something I have created and BAM pride raises it's ugly head. I pray that I will learn a balance. When I feel this pride thing come along, I stop and give the glory to God because without Him I can do nothing. Let us all be careful that pride does not creep into our lives and that we learn a balance of good self-esteem and humbleness.

Somebody told me my artwork was beautiful today. I did appreciate the compliment, but what I really think is that God's word on my images is what is truly beautiful, and I just hope I decorate it well.

I've been dealing with a lot of athiests lately on Facebook. They have called God so many horrible things and it just hurts my heart. I mean, they are talking about whom I love most in all the universe! I have been pondering how it is best to handle this situation. What would Jesus do? The conclusion I came to was that I would tell them how much I love God and why, and how real he is to me, and then that is all I will say. No more posts, no fighting, no responses (unless they have sincere questions of course) or simply a post that says let's agree to disagree. I want to show them love most of all because I was once where they are. I'm so thankful God called me to his holy purpose. Let's all take a minute to thank him for his greatest gift, Jesus, who is our salvation. Amen?

Just one comment today... There is nothing sexier than seeing your husband with his hands raised in praise to the Lord. Some may find that offensive I guess. Seriously, though, when I see my husband praise the Lord, he is more attractive to me than at any other time. I think because I see his heart and his vulnerability at that time.
